Director of Nursing Research

This new role of Director of Nursing Research is key to our commitment to advance clinical excellence through evidence based practices and quality improvement efforts in our Magnet designated hospital.  You will provide leadership and direction for research review activities and project coordination and work collaboratively with direct care clinical nurses, CNS staff, educators, clinical leaders and other professionals to create our ongoing roadmap for evidence based healthcare including clinical practice guideline review and coordination of our Magnet processes.

 

· California RN license and seven to ten years of clinical experience

· PHD or DrPH in Nursing, epidemiology, statistics or health services research or a related field is required.

· Demonstrated expertise in design, execution, statistical analysis and reporting of clinical and health services research.

· Must be able to teach research methods to a variety of health professionals.

· Three to five years experience in research activities with competence in major statistical software analysis, program languages and data base management preferred.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

 

This is a half-time position.
