Director of Partner Development

The Director of Partner Development helps Healthwise achieve our mission through the development of successful third party distribution partners. This person will be responsible for setting and achieving annual mission point and revenue growth targets for our distribution partners. The channel manager is responsible for creating and implementing the strategic pieces of our partnering strategy including: An annual partner channel development plan, programs that help our partners increase the utilization and integration of our products, partner training classes, sales presentations, standard legal contract business terms for our partners, and consistent third party product pricing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic: Writes and gains management consensus on an annual comprehensive partner channel plan including strategies for growing mission points and revenue in each of our target market segments, setting partner product pricing, and creating written account development plans for each partnership. Works with executive management to achieve the successful growth of our channel partners.

• Revenue: Responsible for achieving annual channel revenue growth targets set by Executive Council.

• Sales: Develops and updates a list of partner prospects for each market and creates sales programs that direct and support the Business Development Team’s efforts to add the best new partners. Participates in on-site presentations with Business Development.

• Research & Program Development: Initiates market research with our partners to identify new opportunities to integrate our products within our partners’ applications to drive content and product usage. Collects pertinent information on VAR market opportunities and uses that information to develop and implement programs in collaboration with our product management and communication teams.

• Account Management: Establishes strategic business relationships with our partners’ executives to understand objectives for integration and distribution of consumer health content. Works to make Healthwise products mission critical.

• Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving/Creativity: Identifies and develops utilization programs to facilitate revenue and market share growth for Partner and Healthwise.

• Training: Provides a range of consultation services to Healthwise partners to maximize utilization of Healthwise products while achieving their business and program goals. Prepares partners for success by conducting sales training programs; conducting joint seminars; and participating in trade shows.

• Technical Knowledge: Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of current and emerging products & services to facilitate partner development.

• Budget: Helps to set revenue objectives for third party partners and makes expense projections to support channel development.

• Regularly exercises discretion & independent judgment.

• Assists partners with product demos and sales calls if the opportunity is important enough.

• Able to travel up to 25 times per year to meet with clients, staff trade shows, etc.



QUALIFICATIONS

• Masters degree in business, technology or health related field; or equivalent experience.

• Seven years of marketing, sales, or channel management experience.

• Knowledge of e-healthcare and health care industry preferred.

• Strong technology background with demonstrated ability to set implementation specifications for web-based product sales.

• Highly organized and very strong, proven project management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Commitment to health education, Healthwise mission, and to working in a team environment.
