Are you looking for a challenging opportunity? Then come join our fast-paced team environment in the home health care industry. As DOPC you are responsible for the day-to-day office/clinical operations, and all nursing staff. You will need to be organized, detail oriented, and possess effective communication skills, both orally and in writing. You will need to be able to problem solve issues both of a clinical and operational nature. The DOPC plays a key role as the clinical resource person who is responsible for educating and in-servicing internal staff as well as outside agencies and will also engage in co-marketing efforts with sales team to assist in growing the business through educational and in-servicing activities. Previous home health and management experience will serve you well in this rewarding role.
The DOPC ensures the effective daily operation of nursing by monitoring all activities necessary to provide quality care, products and services to infusion therapy patients and/or other nursing patients and is responsible for the financial and operational management of the nursing department.
Responsibilities:
Interpret standards, company policies, and procedures to maintain compliance with external regulatory authorities and ensure that clinical associates documentation meets internal standards. Ensure that adequate nursing staff are available, based on facility and census requirements. Provide hands-on care.Coordinate communication between team members, physicians or clinical associates to provide appropriate care and outcome planning. Monitor compliance with third party requirements through review of documentation and care coordination activities. Rotate weeknight and weekend on call with nursing staff.Develop department budget and monitor expenses.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of home care or home infusion nursing experience preferable.This candidate must be skilled in directing, motivating and training staff; able to organize and prioritize. Coordinate appropriate care, encompassing various healthcare personnel with outside agencies.Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred) with a valid state RN license and CPR certification. Valid driver's license and good driving record
