Director of Procurement-West Bay Service Center
As part of the Sutter Health family, the West Bay Service Center supports the combined procurement and contracting needs of several affiliated medical campuses. Position responsibilities are to: direct and manage the Procurement Department (consisting of buyers and file maintenance staff) for the West Bay Service Center (WBSC) which services California Pacific Medical Center affiliates (four) and Mills-Peninsula Health Services affiliates (two) as well as any other Sutter affiliates that may join the WBSC. Develop and maintain cost effective, efficient, and customer focused operations on a consistent basis. Purchasing activity for these organizations (including capital expenditures) approximates $200 million annually.Bachelors Degree is required- preferably with focus in business or health care administration. Minimum of 10 years of purchasing, contracting and/or supply chain experience required. Five years in a management position responsible for operations or relevant projects with proven people management skills. Hospital or healthcare experience is highly desirable. Comparable experience in industry will be considered.. Must have experience with Material Management modules of ERP systems. Experience with the Lawson Procurement Suite is highly desirable. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio. Must understand and have experience in process redesign and be able to enlist appropriate tools to support assessment and redesign projects.
