Director of Prospective Payment Systems- RN w/MDS Certification, Buffalo, NY

The Continuing Care Division, part of the Catholic Health System, has an immediate need for a Director of Prospective Payment Systems including the leadership of the MDS Coordination Department and the development of a Restorative Nursing Implementation Department. This is a New One-of-a-Kind Position, that requires passion and attention to detail. 

 

Under the general direction of the Vice President of Clinical Services and in partnership with the Directors of Nursing at each System Affiliated Long Term Care Organization; the Director of Prospective Payment Systems is responsible for the operations and overall performance of MDS reimbursement and restorative nursing programs in each facility.  The Director will oversee the planning, development, implementation, coordination and of daily operations of both the MDS department and the Restorative Nursing Program in each facility.  The director will be responsible for maximizing reimbursement opportunities in support of the overall financial goals established by the organization.  As a member of each respective Organization Management Team, the Director of Prospective Payment Systems assists in the overall administration of each organization to assure effective accomplishment of goals.  The Director coordinates clinical staff activities; oversee financial performance as related to MDS and Restorative Nursing Programs, and assists in maintaining sound relations among the interdisciplinary team. The Director is also responsible for the promotion of mission related activities which are consistent with the goals and objectives of the Catholic Health System.

 Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York from an accredited College or University requiredBSN preferredCredentialed and Certified as a MDS Coordinator, RAC-CT requiredCRRN preferred (Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing)

 EXPERIENCE:Requires five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive management experience.  Requires a minimum of two (2) years MDS experience.Requires a minimum of two (2) years experience working within prospective payment systems for MDS and Restorative Nursing reimbursements.
