Responsible for the leadership in the planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation of quality improvement program, risk management, safety, corporate compliance, and disaster planning and execution as guided by Nazareth’s Mission and values, The traditions of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, The Catholic Social Teachings and the Ethical and Religious Directives of the U. S. Catholic Conference of Bishops.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Design, plan, organize, execute and direct the day-to day management of programs outlined above. This includes development and management of policies and procedures and processes as required to meet the standards of geriatric care and regulatory and/or accreditation requirements.
· Facilitates the integration of Nazareth’s Mission and Values into the day-to-day operations.
· This position is responsible for the supervision of processes and systems development and implementation. This includes: leading and/facilitating teams to make process improvements, develop work plans, manage the implementation of such plans and assessing effectiveness of systems and processes.
· In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, develops, maintains and reviews all clinical policies and procedures.
· Monitors and maintains up-to-date program and departmental policies and procedures for the organization.
· Manages the corporate compliance, risk management and disaster and safety programs
· Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of the Federal and State regulations and assure NLC has processes in place to maintain compliance.
· In collaboration with the Medical Director manages physician services.
· Provide leadership to various committees and organizational initiatives as appointed by Executive Director.
· Prepare and manage the department annual operating budget.
· Ensure staff is compliant with HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.
· Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Participate in pilot programs for the Person Centered Care program.
· Serve as the Administrator as necessary.
· Participate in development and promotional activities and/or functions.
· Participate in various workgroups or as a team member.
· Continue with ongoing education
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or management of health care or related field is required.
· Registered Nurse licensed or eligible to be licensed in Missouri.
· Two years experience in quality improvement or management.
· Ability to be an effective group leader and facilitator
· Ability to collect and analyze data and make data based recommendations
· Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
· Excellent computer skills in various programs, such as Microsoft Office Applications, Internet and e-mail.
