Job DescriptionUsing discretion and independent judgment, the Director of Quality/Risk Management is responsible for the Leading Joint Commission Survey Readiness Efforts, coordination, development and evaluation of all outcome activities including, but not limited to, Risk Management, Quality Improvement, Program Evaluation and the Satisfaction Survey (patient/family). They are also responsible for communication of results and participation in development of strategies for improvement as a member of the facility management team. He/she is also responsible for insuring that the quality of care delivered is in accordance with state regulations and accreditation standards. The Director of Quality Management is also responsible for overall operations of medical records, case management, utilization review, and risk management.Consideration will be given to clinician candidates who have acute care experience and have an interest in learning to lead Performance Improvement Initiatives and Joint Commission Survey efforts. However, a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an acute setting is necessary. Experience in Risk Management systems and experience in working with the public on issues related to satisfaction/complaints is also preferred. Joint Commission experience is a must. Current California Registered Nurse licensure preferred.
