Director of Radiology

· Develops, supervises and directs all Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, MRI, CT and Medical Physics administrative services & programs. 

 

· Acts as liaison, consultant, director and adjunct clinical faculty member to health care affiliates and colleges in the community.

 

· Provides supervisory direction to all personnel in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging.

 

· Prepares and ensures departmental divisions are compliant with radiation safety standards as required by regulations. 

 

·  Reviews departmental budgetary requests and makes recommendations

to administration.

 

·  Strives to develop, implement and enhance departmental cost containment programs.

  Participates in long range planning of facilities, equipment and personnel requirements as they  pertain to departmental and institutional needs.

 

 Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration is required a concentration Health Care Management is preferred. Master’s in Business Administration or Masters in Public Administration is strongly preferred.  The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience with progressive responsibility within Radiology to include eight years of leadership experience.  The ability to articulate department strategies and visions with clarity is required.
