Director of Reimbursement

 

Midwest Orthopaedics at RUSH, a large multi-specialty orthopaedic practice in the Chicagoland area, seeks an organized individual experienced in the healthcare field to fulfill the role of Director of Reimbursement.  This position is located in Westchester, IL.

 

Duties would include:

 Overseeing all of the Billing functions (charge entry, coding and billing) Collection functions and Cash Applications functions. Developing and enforcing protocols and procedures in order to maximize reimbursement, reduce costs and capture all revenue.Following up on all issues affecting the department including working with payors, vendors and staff.  Monitoring existing protocols and making changes as appropriate.Working in conjunction with the Manager of Contracting to automate contracting, contract review and payment monitoring processes so that all individuals involved have access to the appropriate information and to ensure compliance with the agreements that have been negotiated.Working in conjunction with the Information Systems group to develop the most efficient, effective and automated process possible. Performing regular audit of operating protocols, timeliness of the charge deliveries and review of the payor reimbursements.Utilizing automated tools (spreadsheet and database applications) to analyze and monitor various performance trends (Excel, Sequel or Access preferred).

 

Qualifications:

Four year degree, five years of reimbursement and billing management experience or equivalent.  Individual must be extremely organized, have the ability to multitask and prioritize, communicate well within all levels of the organization, and be proficient with spreadsheet, database, word processing, and physician practice management applications.  Experience with NextGen preferred.
