At Silverado Senior Living, we give LIFE to those affected by Alzheimer's and other memory impairing diseases. We are seeking a Master’s Level Social Worker to serve as the Director of Resident and Family Services at our Assisted Living Community.

 

The Director of Resident and Family Services will play an important role by assisting residents and families understand and cope with the psycho-social issues related to aging and dementia while optimizing their quality of life.

 

The Director of Resident and Family Services responsibilities include:

 

-Participates in admission and discharge planning for residents, performing an initial written evaluation of resident after admission and completes follow up evaluations thereafter.

-Actively involved in the resident care plan team and promotes harmonious working relations within the community.

-Conducts community tours from time-to-time for prospective residents and community groups.

-Actively promotes and raises awareness of the facility and company principles to civic, community, and Alzheimer’s related groups within the community.

 

The candidate of choice will have the following skills and background:

 

-Master’s degree in Social Work preferred.

-Several years experience working with the geriatric population.

-Excellent reading, writing and oral communication skills. 

-Current driver’s license
