Director of Revenue Operations - Tacoma
Director of Revenue Operations Summary:The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the strategic planning, quality, productivity and qualitative metrics of designated Revenue Operations areas including any of the following: Primary/Secondary Collections, Medicare/Medicaid/Patient Billing, Acquisition/Integrations, Patient Admission Services, or Ancillary Services to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved, in alignment with DaVita’s Mission and Core Values.Essential Job Functions: Performance planning and management of staff. Approve financial resource allocations including expenses, salary administration and budget. Participate in appropriate committees as needed. Retention and succession planning. Direct and participate in disciplinary measures as appropriate. Attend and participate in Revenue Operations Director meetings to discuss overall strategies and planning for Revenue Operations department. Recommend and monitor department budget. Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of related Revenue operations issues and trends. Responsible for managing the entire department specific processes to ensure that both internal and external customers are supported. Ensure that adequate training in all areas is provided. This includes: compliance of DaVita policies and procedures and compliance of Federal / State billing regulations and guidelines. Be actively engaged in the recruitment and hiring process with People Services Generalist. Responsible for mentoring and coaching the department staff through the use of audits and trends to address strengths and opportunities for improvement. Write and conduct teammate evaluations, individual performance plans, quarterly snapshots, individual nominations, and establish short term and long-term goals. Understand and follow the DaVita teammate handbook and safety and security policy and procedures. Work on continual development of individual skills and behaviors that promote the DaVita Way of Management and the core values. Foster improved relations, cooperation, communication and collaboration between DaVita centers, Information Technology department, peers and other Central Billing Office units. Express clearly the communication between upper management and teammates Address teammate relations issues as applicable. Some light travel required. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and at least five years related experience. Ability to meet goals individually and in a team environment. Effectively use delegation and coordination skills for trending and reporting purposes. Proven ability to motivate others in order to achieve tasks and goals. Proven ability to effectively handle teammate interpersonal situations. Ability to effectively collaborate with other functional areas to achieve the overall DaVita Mission. Performance and behavior reflect the Mission and Core Values of DaVita. Experience with strategic planning and implementation of new initiatives. Increasing levels of senior leadership responsibility in a healthcare Revenue operations environment.
