In order to support our growing business, Pembrooke is currently seeking qualified individuals to fill the following position in East Rutherford, New Jersey: EMT/On-Site Aid Station

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

EMT will provide basic first-aid to employees at construction sites and assist with drug screen collections. 20 to 30 hours per week.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Provide limited care/First Aid for on-the-job illness or injuries such as: cuts, grazes, broken bones, vital signs, etc. Respond to and support more serious emergencies until advanced assistance is available, providing detailed information to Paramedics. Complete necessary documents related to the injury or illness including: “first report of injury” for Workers’ Compensation, OSHA and HIPPA information. Assist with urine drug screen collection as needed. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, issue badges to staff and visitors.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

 

Issue badges to staff and visitors.

 

             * HARD HAT/safety equipment required while on construction site*

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Paramedic, EMT, EMT-D with active certifications including CPR, and registered with NREMT.

 

EDUCATION/SKILLS:

 

High School graduate; Completion of EMT program through accredited college or university. Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful.

 

 RELATIONSHIPS:

Individual must be willing to work on-site at construction location in a trailer setting. Provide professional care in a timely manner. Exceptional interpersonal skills, positive attitude towards change, strong verbal and written communication skills along with exceptional time management skills and ability to self motivate.
