Echo Tech

Seton Medical Center has an immediate opening for a per diem Echo Tech. This position will work variable shifts.

This position requires competent assessment of cardiac function with ultrasound for resting, stress via treadmill, pharmacologically induced stress and trans esophageal echocardiograms. Must be able to discern which images should be included in the preliminary report for the interpreting cardiologist. Must be able to calculate standard echocardiography measurements per ASE guidelines and be able to recognize ECG abnormalities.

Qualifications: Completion of an accredited echocardiography program; 3 yrs experience scanning in an acute care hospital; RDCS preferred; CPR certification.
