Echo Technician

New York Methodist Hospital, a 612-bed voluntary, acute care teaching institution located in Park Slope, Brooklyn, provides a wide variety of specialized inpatient and outpatient services.

 

Requirments: Graduate of accredited school of ultrasound. Must be a Registered Echo Technologist.  ARDMS required. Prior echo experience preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of prior Echocardiography experience preferred. Candidate must be able to make independent analytical, conceptual decisions, and work independently.  Candidate must possess a clear understanding of New York Methodists goal to maintain a standard of excellence.

 

Duties: Performs echocardiograms and assists physicians with trans-esophageal echocardiograms. This position also requires the technician to participate in the echo portion of cardiac stress testing.
