JOB DETAILS: Scheduled hours per week: 20.00, Begin and end Times: 8-5; Days of work: Varies SUMMARY: The roles of the Employee Education Specialist II emerge from the American Nurses Association Standards of Practice for Professional Development. The roles consist of educator, facilitator, consultant, leader, change agent and researcher. The Decentralized Clinical Educator integrates ethical principles in all aspects of practice, supports process improvement activities and promotes life-long learning. The Employee Education Specialist II provides leadership to professional nursing and others to maximize employee performance and to ensure quality patient care that supports Central Ohio OhioHealth¿s Mission, Vision, and Goals. REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor of Science in Nursing; Current RN Ohio license; BLS Instructor SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of nursing process with expertise in adult learning and staff development. Some experience with Change and Systems Theories, Performance Improvement, role and team development, and evaluation processes. Effective communication and interpersonal skills; Utilizes computers and other current technologies for instruction and/or communication with colleagues.KIND and LENGTH of EXPERIENCE3-5 yrs clinical nursing experience with at least 1 yr teaching in actual or related specialty area.
