CSG, a leading provider of mental health, mental retardation, children’s and eldercare services has an opportunity for an Employment Specialist in our CONCEPTS employment services program.  

 

 

CONCEPTS employment services assists individuals with mental retardation in finding meaningful competitive employment.  This is accomplished through job development, job coaching and classroom training. Our mission of this program is to provide the support and guidance necessary to help individuals secure and retain community-based jobs.

 





 

Job Description

 

The Employment Specialist is responsible for assisting the client in developing job skills in preparation for competitive employment and/or while competitively employed.  He/She is a member of a rehabilitation team in a Vocational Rehabilitation program. 

 

Job Duties

 

· Assesses, evaluates and documents client performance plans.

· Develops, coordinates and implements individual program plans.

· Collaborates, cooperates and builds relationships with agencies, perspective employers and employees; participates in meetings and provides relevant information.

· Analyzes potential job openings, locations, tasks, and responsibilities in order to coordinate job placement.

· Provides onsite skill instruction and overall job training while encouraging the development of natural support systems.

· Monitors and assesses employer and client satisfaction.

· Utilizes community resources to promote community integration and client independence/interdependence

· Completes all assigned administrative tasks relevant to the position.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

 





 

Job Requirements



 

Two years experience working with adults with disabilities in a prevocational/vocational setting

Or

One year experience job coaching and experience with behavioral oriented programs. 

 

A Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field is required.

 

Condition of Employment

 

Must be able to pass driving and criminal history background checks.

Must have access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
