Enrollment & Eligibility Intake Coordinator

Full time position available in the Infectious Disease Division of Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.  Job requirements: Bachelor’s degree in social science field, one year experience in a medical or social work setting, data entry experience, and knowledge of Microsoft Access, medical terminology, ICD9/CPT coding and prescription drug processes required.  Current Virginia LPN license preferred, but not required.  Job responsibilities:  accurate collection and maintenance of patient enrollment and eligibility for various federal and state supported programs; coordinates data collection from off-sites and maintains clinic database; relieves other office personnel of clinical and administrative work as necessary; responsible for interviewing patients, gathering and providing essential clinic information and communicating with off-site clinics; must travel throughout Hampton Roads; stays abreast of and analyzes the changing legislation regarding managed care and government entitlement programs including its impact on HIV patient care and costs.  For more information visit our website www.evms.edu.
