Epic Support Specialist

Responsibilities:  This position provides onsite end user support to Epic system users as required for electronic health record use at Regions Hospital.  The position will provide on-site assistance to physicians, nurses and other end-users (post training) in order to support correct utilization and optimization of the Epic System.  The Support Specialist will collaborate with the training team to assist with training content, user follow-up post training, and second level training with users.  They will also collaborate with the Epic Spoke team and investigate end user issues, participate or direct small projects, and participate in designated Epic system build or modifications.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, clinical care or equivalent.  Clinical and/or hospital background preferred - experience of at least 2 years and/or healthcare administrative experience.  Prefer previous experience in Epic application support.
