Experienced Public Aid Biller

Advocate Christ Medical Center is currently seeking a full time, day shift, Experienced Public Aid Biller.  The qualified candidate will be responsible for the timely collection of claims, the daily billing of electronic and hard copy claims to public aide and insurance payors, the resolution of issues related to the denial or delay of reimbursement. Assures compliance with HIPPA regulations and operates within the constraints of Advocate's contractual agreement with government and managed care companies. The Qualified Candidate Must Have: Knowledge of the payment/charging reimbursement methodology, coordination of benefits, government collection issues and managed care contract agreements Previous public aid billing/Medicare experience 2 yrs. + healthcare experience Working knowledge of automated accounts receivable systems Operates 10 key calculator Math expertise Medical terminology a plus Strong communication skills with all levels of hospital personnel and external customers Inpatient Hospital Medicaid ExperienceAdvocate Christ Medical Center is world-class teaching and research institution that is part of Advocate Health Care, Chicago's largest provider of health care.  Located in Oak Lawn, IL, this academic medical center has the highest-level designation for trauma and perinatal care.
