The St. John's Health Care Foundation engages in a variety of short and long-term fundraising strategies to support two dynamic hospitals with their facility expansion, new technology and important health care programs. The Foundation is currently seeking a person who will be responsible for the operations support function. Typical duties will include appropriate receiving, documenting, data inputting and acknowledgment of all donations; acting as liaison with fiscal services to assure accurate financial reporting; preparing all supporting documents, graphs, and other materials needed to support the Executive Director and Foundation managers; and overseeing donor recognition programs. To be qualified, candidates must have a Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; a California Driver's License, a minimum of at least three (3) years experience with computerized record keeping / databases and working knowledge of accounting; and have experience with research, analysis and spreadsheets. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge highly preferred. Candidates must also have excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook and other software programs, and be comfortable with working on the Internet. The ability to read and interpret financial reports, conduct independent research and analyze the data, as well as have the ability to present data to the Board of Directors, various committees, and staff is key. An administrative work background coupled with a working knowledge of accounts payable/accounts receivable is what we are looking for. Some of the soft skills which we are seeking is the ability to maintain confidentiality of donors and gift records, ability to multi-task with a high level of urgency, problem solving capabilities, excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated creativity, compassion, courtesy and respect for diversity. The ability to work both independently and within a team is also critical.
