The Opportunity:

 

Our client is in search of its next Field Blood Bank Specialist to act as a technical liaison and support specialist to the existing base of clients in the territory. You will be responsible to handle all end user training on the instrument in addition to handling all correlation and validation studies. You must be customer focused and have a very strong working knowledge of the clinical laboratory. Must be comfortable doing some light troubleshooting on the instrumentation when necessary.While the travel can be expected to be extensive, you will be rewarded handsomely for your efforts as this client offers a base salary in the 70k to 80k range. In addition to the base salary the position is bonus eligible. A car allowance, computer, and cellular telephone will be included as well as paid vacation and access to the company 401k matching program.

 

The Qualifications:

Do you have a minimum of five to seven years of experience in the Clinical Laboratory?

 

Are you an ASCP Certified Medical Technologist?

 

Have you worked with blood bank, hematology, chemistry or immunoassay equipment?

 

Do you have a BS in Medical Technology? (Degree Mandatory / Med Tech Preferred)

 

Do you have a strong level of experience working in  Blood Bank, Serology or Donor Centers?

 

Are you comfortable with overnight travel?

 

Are you comfortable covering as many as ten states? (You will be covering specific already established accounts, so it will be a bit different from your traditional work travel, as you will be going in to specific locations.
