Field Sales Representative
Responsibilities:
· Develop sales opportunities with Medicare and Medicare / Medicaid eligible individuals by means of personal referrals.
· Use the approved HealthSpring Medicare Advantage presentation to both personally developed referral appointments and to HealthSpring furnished pre-set appointments.
· Must always adhere to the:The policies and procedures of HealthSpring, Inc.The HealthSpring Business Code of Ethics.The rules and regulations of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).The rules and regulations of the State of Illinois Department of Insurance.The rules and regulations of the State of Illinois Department of Health and Human Services (formerly the Department of Public Aid).
· Enrollment forms must be verified by HealthSpring (or at least documented time of attempt).
· Accurate and timely completion of enrollment documents obtained from presentations, including submitting documents to the HealthSpring sales office.
· Report the results of each presentation of HealthSpring furnished appointments and submit as required / requested. This includes ALL dispositions via email (blackberry) and verifications.
· Complete all daily activity by the end of business day.
· Provide a valid phone number to a dedicated fax machine that must be available 24 hours and day, 7 days a week. Receiving faxed communication is the responsibility of the EA. Servicing of the fax machine is the responsibility of the EA.
· Leads are provided by HealthSpring email (blackberry) free of charge. HealthSpring will not reimburse for personal Cell phone.
· Attend all planned sales meetings, as announced. Attend all other department meetings as required / requested.
· Conduct sales seminars as scheduled.
· Assist in special events, senior functions, etc, as required.
· Keep current State of Illinois Department of Insurance Health License at all times
· Successfully complete the HealthSpring Medicare Advantage Certification Class
· Successfully complete the Medicare Advantage Recertification Exam.
· Accurately prepare a monthly expense report for any pre-approved seminar expenses you may have incurred for that same time period.
· Successfully enroll new Medicare Advantage members each month. Minimum Production Rules and Regulations are as follows:Annual Election Period (AEP) and Open Enrollment Period (OEP) minimum production is 30 new sales per month (writing months of October, November, December, January, February and March. Of each year). Lock-In minimum production is 18 new sales per month (writing months of April, May, June, July, August and September, of each year). The minimum production requirement must be met on a 3 consecutive month average. Must provide proof of adequate transportation and proof of motor vehicle registration, licensing and insurance as required by the State of Illinois.

Written and oral communication is accurate and timely and at the appropriate level.Negotiating abilitySelf motivated to generate leads and follow up on them. Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and develops action items. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
Experience: 1-2 years of selling life and health insurance Producer’s license for Health in the State of Illinois At least one year of selling products to the Medicare population (such as Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements, Final Expense “life”, Long-term care ins., annuities).
