Field Service Engineer

 

Our rapidly growing medical equipment company is looking for personnel to install and maintain radiation therapy equipment. 

 

Some of the job requirements:

 

·  Self starting individual with a strong desire to fully understand the workings of complex systems

·  Understanding of pulsed power microwave systems, digital, analog and instrumentation circuits, automated control systems, and stepper motor drive systems

·  Ability to work with large and small items in confined spaces, reaching from floor level to overhead

·  Possess excellent customer service, communication and writing skills

·  Able to travel extensively, three weeks per month or more for some positions

 

Routine tasks will include:

 

·  Analyze problems within complex systems and perform needed repairs

·  Setup, calibrate and demonstrate the system for the user

·  Perform and clearly document all levels of system maintenance

·  Work with users to identify problems by telephone or e-mail

·  Be a contributing member of the product development team

 

Based in our Sunnyvale, California office and other locations, travel will be primarily within the USA, with some travel worldwide.

 

The qualified applicant will have at a minimum 3 to 5 years field service or product development experience with radiation therapy equipment.  Applicants with other multi technology systems experience will also be considered.
