Field Service Representative
ATTENTION---SERVICE TECHNICIANS Billion Dollar+ Market leader in the hospital/surgical/scientific equipment arena is seeking FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIANS to support systems sales, preventative maintenance, repairs, equipment modifications, troubleshooting, installation planning/coordination/support and customer support. The successful candidate will:- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on company product lines and competitive equipment- Troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul or- Refurbish standard and special purpose equipment and systems components- Conduct customer service and warranty calls- Provide equipment installations and conversions- Coordinate on-site project planning, installations quality inspections, performance testing, etc.- Maintain on-site Customer Service Log/Total Maintenance Care Books- Have excellent computer skills- Develop and maintain excellent customer, sales representative and company management relations- Be first line resource for customer questions and concerns- Have a High School Diploma and completion of mechanical, electrical, electronic and / or hydraulic technical school training-strong knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics a must. - Have a strong technical aptitude and extensive knowledgeof equipment operation and maintenance. Experience as a Biomedical Technician is a great plus. - Have the ability to solve complex mechanical / system problems utilizing technical manuals, publications and engineering support- Have general knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)- 2 + years of experience in related field of work with technical training- Exhibit strong customer communication skills- An understanding of the principles and methods of sterilization,steam generators, surgical equipment, industrial controls, central processing systems and modular transport systems is a plus- Be comfortable working in hospital/medical and research settings- Willing to attend ten week training program- Have a clean driving record and a clean background history - Live within 30 miles of stated geographic area. - Be able to provide excellent professional/supervisory references If you desire an excellent working environment with outstanding support in the medical environment, this position may be just for you.
