Supervision of certain Operations areas of the Healthfirst Finance Department.  The areas of

responsibility will include Accounts Payable- Medical, Accounts Payable-Administration, Purchasing

 

 

 

 

 

and Payroll

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Description of Responsibilities

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



Oversee operations of the finance department. Direct the monthly close process. Integrate the medical transactions into the general ledger. Review all treasury transactions. Provide accounting support to the Medical Analysis and Budget departments.  Manage AP staffs to ensure that invoices and claims are being paid on a timely basis and issues with vendors are resolved

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Suggest and implement new and innovative procedures to improve workflow.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Coordinate annual 1099 reporting

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Manage compliance with unclaimed property reporting rules

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Manage the company's purchasing function to ensure the best pricing and quality is received for all contracts and purchases

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Manage processes surrounding disbursements to Health Care Providers

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Coordinate with other finance staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Maintain Internal Control Procedures

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Work with department members to to document policies and procedures.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintenance of proper internal controls

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Coordinate certain special projects

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Skill Sets

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Excellent Verbal and Communication Skills

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Advanced experience in Excel

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, and ADP payroll

 

 

 

 

 

 

 experience with the Accounts Payable and Purchasing functions

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Good computer skills

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Ability to work independently and effectively supervise and motivate staff
