Financial Analyst I

Company: Children's Hospital Boston Location: US-MA-Boston Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Analyzes financial status of research grants and contracts for assigned departments and takes required actions according to departmental policies. Establishes new grant cost centers on financial system for new grants and contracts, and closes out cost centers when grant term ends. Queries financial system and scrutinizes financial transactions in order to prepare the requisite financial status reports for grant sponsors. Researches and interprets sponsor regulations as well as individual grant terms and conditions and counsels PIs and administrators on their financial impact. Traces financial transactions from financial reports back to original source documentation, through a maze of hospital financial systems and ledgers. Resolves problems and maintains accurate database information on financial systems. Prior history in a pre-award or post-award grants & contracts office, strongly preferred. -4 year degree in Accounting/Finance-2+ years of related experience preferred.~MN~
