Funeral Home Manager

StoneMor Partners, LP is located just outside of Philadelphia, PA. We have 281 locations in 29 states and are a leader in the cemetery and funeral industry. We currently have an opening at one of our location in South Carolina for a Funeral Home Manager & Funeral Director.  MUST BE LICENSED IN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.

Responsibilities:

·Directs and supervises the administrative and support services of the funeral home, including embalming services, repair and maintenance services, and administration.  This includes approval of expenditures for operation of the funeral home within established parameters, collection of receivables, and staff and personnel actions.

· Maintains a continuing review and knowledge of the laws and policies relating to the funeral business.

· Administers all of the work schedules of the personnel of the funeral home.

·Plans and recommends strategies to increase the client base for the company and improves or expands level of services resulting in increased community selection on the funeral home for needs.  This includes direct involvement in marketing strategies.

·Ensures close coordination with governmental agencies and service organizations such as the Social Security Administration, Veterans Administration, coroner’s office, churches, florists, etc.

·Represents the company on all follow-up services provided, including customer complaints, legal activity, and contract preparations.

· Deals directly with vendors of funeral service supplies and support merchandise, recommends merchandise to be presented as the available selections from the funeral home.

· Coordinates activities with Sales Department and Cemetery Administration when total service capabilities cross departmental boundaries, such as at-need, interments, cremations, transfers, etc.

 

Education and/or Experience:

· 4 years experience in the operation and administration of a funeral home.

· Must be a licensed funeral director and embalmer.

· A college degree in business management or related field experience is preferred

·  Requires a relatively high degree of concentration and attention for a continuous period of time
