Guest Relations Representative

Guest Relations Representatives, also known as patient advocates, provide an invaluable service and help create positive hospital experiences by listening to and resolving concerns of patients and families. These employees proactively seek feedback from patients and families, visiting all patients within 24 hours of admission. Last year, Guest Relations Representatives visited approximately 15,000 patients/families. Duties and responsibilities include: * Act as a liaison between patients/families and staff * Assist patients/families in answering questions about procedures and policies * Communicate needs or concerns of families * Access information and resources for patients/families.

Requires a Bachelor's degree plus two years experience in a social service or healthcare setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.  Fluency in Spanish is required.Must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills and be able to function effectively in a stressful work environment. Should have good computer skills and be comfortable working in MS Office programs. Must have experience with and be comfortable in a hospital setting. The Guest Relations Representative will emcompass the weekend and work Thursday thru Monday.
