The County of Riverside is searching for a Health Care Analyst. The Analyst will be an integral part of the set up of Exclusive Care's Eligibility and Claims System. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative and analytical skills, an understanding of managed care systems, and the ability to excel under time-sensitive situation. SALARY RANGE:Health Care Analyst: $54,269.90 - $72,561.01 - annually Examples Of Duties: The Health Care Analyst Position:* Plan and coordinate quarterly inventory for audit mechanisms, assist with fiscal operations, including preparation of reports and reconciliations. * Research and prepare reports regarding claims, members, medical conditions, and medical provider panel directory. * Research and participate in the evaluation of available health information management systems and implementation of the system. * Analyze and reconcile data concerning health care plan expenses and resources for the purpose of determining necessary actions to reduce cost and enhance the plan. * Integrate, analyze, and compile health care plan budgetary data and departmental reports to assist in the reconciliation and creation of various reports. * Review administrative and operational policies and procedures as needed. * Direct the preparation of, or prepare, reports, studies, and educational materials relating to health insurance benefits. * Facilitate and participate in project management team's to research, investigate, and propose cost-effective means of enhancing the Plan's service, effectiveness and efficiency in administration, service provision and claims management. Typical Qualifications: EDUCATION:Graduation from a recognized college with a Bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE:Two years of experience in professional managed care or health care system work which must have included as a primary responsibility one or more of the following: health care analysis and research, basic accounting, and balancing and reconciling health care expenses and resources.
