HIM Analyst VI

UC Davis Health System, Health Information Management Department, located in Sacramento, CA is seeking several HIM Analysts to be responsible to meet with the decision makers, system owners and end users to define, develop and implement operational business reports with the department.

 

The Health Information Management (HIM) Department is comprised of 7 different units whose primary purpose is to serve the interest of the individual patient by facilitating medical care, treatment, research and teaching through availability of a well documented, current medical records and clinical databases.

 

Incumbent will also be responsible for supporting ongoing virtual privacy and security surveillance via complex reports to detect inappropriate access to protected health information within the electronic medical records, designing report logic related to the deliverables of various business processes and ensuring that key dependencies are met and developing relational databases to meet business and processes needs.

 

Requires knowledge of quality tools and experience in business or clinical process improvement initiatives; participation in an implementation of an activity or strategy in a department, hospital or system environment. Effective teamwork and communication skills; effective analytical and interviewing skills. PC software and presentation skills. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, coworkers and staff throughout UCDHS.
