is currently recruiting for the following positions:


Registered Nurses (FT, PT, PRN)


Social Worker (FT)


Spiritual Counselor (FT 32 hours per week)


Beacon of Hope is managed by National Hospice Management, a multi-state hospice agency, that is well established and rapidly growing. Our Davenport, IA staff serve our patients in the Quad Cities and surrounding communities. Description and Qualifications:


Registered Nurse-The Registered Nurse plans, organizes and directs hospice care and is experienced in the practice of nursing, with emphasis on community health education/experience.  The professional nurse builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of the individual and families within their homes and communities. One to two years of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting, and one to two years of recent experience in home care.  One year of hospice experience preferred.  New graduates considered.


Spiritual Counselor- The Spiritual Counselor is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services to patients and families/care givers or the hospice program, either directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual counselors.


Ordained, commissioned, or credentialed according to the practices of an organized religious group and has completed at least one unit of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education, or, has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (MDiv. Preferred), with emphasis in counseling or related subjects and, within ninety (90) days of hire, has completed specific training to include:

Common spiritual issues in death and dying
Belief systems of comparative religions related to death and dying;
Spiritual assessment skills;
Individualizing care to patient beliefs, and;
Varied spiritual practices/rituals.


Social Worker- The Social Worker is responsible for the implementation of standards of care for social services and for adherence to all organization policies, and hospice standards and/or regulations.  Establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for social services to meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the organization’s mission and philosophy. A graduate degree in social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.  Must have a Master’s degree and be licensed to work in the state of Illinois and Iowa.
