JOB FUNCTION:The Healthcare Analyst will be responsible for overseeing financial performance of 10 - 15 owner hospitals and will communicate financial results and identifying areas of opportunity for Healthfirst and hospital senior management. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:' Produce annual hospital reporting packets for assigned hospitals' Respond to hospital requests for analyses' Provide analytic support to Provider Network department' Provide quarterly reports on hospital performance to Healthfirst Senior Management' Meet with staff from owner hospitals as needed to provided analytic support' Maintain current project logs and workplans on assignments' Assume other responsibilities as directed SKILL SETS:' Knowledge of Managed Care financial metrics' Knowledge of claims data and provider network data, including fee schedules and reimbursement models' Strong analytic skills and attention to detail' Ability to manage projects and project plans within stated timelines' Proficient with Excel, experience with PowerPoint' SAS or SQL programming preferred EXPERIENCE:Minimum 2 years experience in financial analysis or related analytic areaExperience working with provider network data preferredManaged Care, Medicaid/Medicare, or Hospital experience preferredEDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, finance, economics or related fieldMasters degree preferred
