“Healthcare is changing and I want to be on the leading edge.” Matria Healthcare is a leading provider of comprehensive disease management, health enhancement and high risk pregnancy management programs for employers and health plans across the US.  We seek an experienced Health Outcomes Consultant to join our Rosemont, IL office! HEALTH OUTCOMES CONSULTANTResponsible for client relations involving Matria products and programs.  Provides communication and presentation of performance reporting as defined by the customer needs and provides feedback to the Healthcare Informatics team on opportunities to exceed client expectations related to their outcomes.   Provides technical and analytical expertise in the development and support of various multi-project analyses necessary to analyze and track issues involving: health care cost and utilization trends, provider performance, clinical and disease state management analyses, patient outcome and quality measurement and providing general research and decision support activities. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES Key functions include:  Provides communication and presentation of outcomes as defined by the customer needs and provides feedback to the Health Intelligence team on opportunities to exceed client expectations related to their outcomes.  Assists the Matria outcomes team with the design and refinement of the outcomes report presentation to meet client’s needs. Assists the HI team with the EDW portal and online outcomes reporting applications. Helps monitor and identify account specific outcomes issues and effectively communicate the issues to the client. Develops opportunities to improve goals for outcomes area with operations. Serves as liaison for sales team relative to outcomes/informatics needs. Manages role within budgetary guidelines. Communicates with management on strategies, competitive activity and project progress. Participates in meetings for outcomes reviews. Identifies and initiates resolution along with informatics department to ensure customer satisfaction. Accompanies sales team and client management on select meetings with key customers. Submits required completed reports according to deadlines. Other tasks as assigned. ACCOUNTABILITY/SCOPE/DIMENSIONSWorking independently or with a small client management lead project team, under reduced supervision, the incumbent will assimilate and be able to present new analytic models and methodologies for assessing patient outcomes, studying cost and utilization trends, and other decision support activities. This position routinely utilizes data including, but not limited to, medical and pharmacy claims, laboratory results, health risk assessments, member eligibility, and operational clinical systems. The incumbent regularly may articulate required special studies, statistical testing and projects to solve unique problems / questions identified by management, business partners, and clients. The incumbent is responsible for the issue definition, requirements gathering, analysis design, results interpretation, and discussion of finding with our internal and external clients (online, written, or verbal). EDUCATION/EXPERIENCERequired: Bachelor’s degree. Four- year degree in or related to Business, Computer/Information Science, Mathematical/statistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Operations Research, or equivalent training and demonstrated experience is required. An advanced training master’s level degree is required. 2 years outcome/quality management experience. Basic understanding of disease management industry and DM programs. Basic understanding of outcomes/performance measurement methodology. Strong group presentation skills. High level of analytic ability and interest, with excellent education /performance history is required. Clinically related knowledge or background is considered an important component of the training, but can be presented in a number of forms. Some type of formal clinically related training is necessary. Comprehensive understanding of clinical and business issues facing the enterprise, best practices, and the health care delivery system will be needed. Incumbent must have demonstrated initiative, good-judgment, and the ability to achieve results through others. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to interpret results of query analyses.· Advanced data and statistical analysis, results interpretation and presentation.· Ability to work under tight deadlines in a highly dynamic environment.· Ability to work occasionally in stressful situations with client managers, sales team members, and senior management.Preferred: 5 years of healthcare experience Proven track record of meeting or exceeding project goals Healthcare Management experience· Masters degree in a technical or analytic field· Medical informatics / econometrics experience.· Underwriting / risk analysis experience· Audit experience Come join our team!  We offer a great benefits package in a collaborative and supportive work environment.
