Healthcare Account Manager, Business Process Solutions

Great-West Healthcare, now part of CIGNA, is searching for a Healthcare Account manager for our Business Process Solutions group.

This position manages the alignment of front-end services (outsourcing, electronic data interchange (EDI), and business-to-business) operations and technology. Solves complex issues by combining in-depth knowledge of organizational processes to develop requirements and maximize the use of technology in developing solutions. Educates and manages expectations of the business units regarding the realities, challenges, and fundamentals of front-end services. Manages project managers and analysts as well as cross-functional teams when implementing project and process improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities Manages relationships with external suppliers (EDI partners and/or outsourced suppliers). Manages contract negotiations to assure regulatory, system requirement, and expense management objectives are met. Responsible for daily supplier monitoring and issue resolution coordination ensuring service level agreements are met. Manages and directs cross-functional teams to achieve assigned objectives. Provides technical, business, analytical, work performance, and strategic guidance to assigned project teams. Ensures solutions adhere to quality and regulatory standards. Analyze business and system issues on a daily basis. Identify, document, and recommend enhancements or corrections to applications to resolve problems. Represent the business by providing creative and critical thinking for technical matters and technical solution as tied to business and system needs. Organizes, analyzes, interprets, and reports data for internal and external customers. Create presentations that include process flows, business results vs. agreed upon performance levels, financial impact analysis, and recommended workflows/solutions. Directs, plans, and coordinates team work assignments. Provides regular feedback on performance. Responsibilities may include employment and budgetary decisions. Represents the company at industry and technology trade shows. Manages or assists in the negotiation of vendor contracts and fees. Assists in the development and monitoring of departmental budget. Responsible for managing project costs/budget.

Background and Qualifications Bachelor degree in computer science, business administration, engineering, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5-7 years of broad-based business and information systems experience. Ability to express complex concepts in understandable terms. EDI or Healthcare operational experience desired. Strong understanding of how technology affects organization and ability to link it to business processes. Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and leadership skills. Superb analysis and critical thinking skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Willingness to travel up to 15%
