Healthcare Administration Program Manager

We are seeking a Healthcare Administrator to act as a Program Manager in developing National Best Practices for the VHA. Position will be based from Denver CO.

Experience with the science of the design and implementation of program evaluation systems and an in depth understanding of:

• Training and hands-on experience in the measurement of systems improvement



• Knowledge and experience with a wide array of data systems -DoD, VA, Medicare



• Understanding of methods to integrate data from multiple sources and platforms for program evaluation



• Training and experience in epidemiology and research methods



• Experience with report design and automation



• Quantitative analysis and technical skills (eg. SAS)



 

Finally, personnel are required to have experience in the health care quality field and a clinical health care background that includes multiple provider types as well as setting of care. Quality personnel must have experience that includes:

Knowledge and experience with survey development and analysis

• Experience and understanding of the complexity of measurement across domain -patient satisfaction -quality of health care -cost



• Ability to design and manage complex evaluation systems



• Experience with report development and design



• Have an in depth knowledge and understanding of the Fee system and the non-VA data cube. This is necessary in order to process a financial model and in order to define and compose metrics for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.



• Understand and keep apprised of Medicare reimbursement rules because Project HERO is priced as a percent of Medicare.



In addition, the skills required to perform these activities include:

o Expertise in health data analysis



o The ability to develop data specifications



o Skills in the analysis of health care data using SAS or related programming languages



o Expertise in reviewing and cleaning health data to create appropriate analytical files



o Skills in designing, developing and producing reports for internal and external stakeholders



o Conducting quality assurance reviews and comparing data to other benchmarks



o Producing various data tables that provide data correlation and statistical relationships for analysis
