And that's not all... to learn more visit our website at www.stericycle.com today!We are currently seeking a Healthcare Compliance Specialist to act as a customer advocate and consultant working with the sales and operations groups to assist customers. Maintains customer relations, regulatory compliance and account satisfaction/retention with LQ customers, such as hospitals, clinics, labs and nursing homes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: TRAINING: Conduct medical waste stream analysis to minimize waste generated by customers. Train clinical and non-clinical staff to our system including explaining proper packaging of waste for compliance, as well as, maintaining standards. This training helps ensure that unacceptable materials are not received at the plant. Provide expert advice to customers in compliance issues with OSHA, JCHO, and other regulatory agencies. SALES: Provide new customers with assistance identifying equipment needs and placement of containers. Frequent visits to new customers to answer questions, rounds with primary collection person, developed signage, handouts, etc., in order to ensure smooth transition for new customers. Create and distribute customer education material regarding regulatory compliance and training for waste minimization per contract language. Provide customers with any backup documentation needed for obtaining established goals. Maintain expert knowledge on competitors to share with the sales organization. Make contact with assigned customer base at least once per quarter for the purpose of building relationships and solving problems. Maximize ancillary product sales, where appropriate. Work with the operations group to increase profitability through operational changes, such as reduced pick-ups, staged trailers, etc. Maximize customer satisfaction to facilitate timely and profitable contract renewals. CUSTOMER RELATIONS: Provide summaries of monthly activities on key issues. Manage customer satisfaction survey feedback. Assist in maintenance of the database on market information (i.e., competitive pricing, volumes, frequency of pickups, service offerings, etc. Act as liaison between customers and accounts payable department for collection of receivables, when necessary. Manage Customer Satisfaction/Generator Profile sheets that cover all areas of possible concern. Ensure follow-up from appropriate department for resolution. Performs other related duties as required or requested.Stericycle is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/V/DRequirements: Education and Experience: Education equivalent to Bachelor?s Degree, with a healthcare discipline preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating detailed knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance. Three or more years of experience in the healthcare industry, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating excellent working knowledge of medical waste issues and the healthcare industry, and consultative skills to effectively deal with customers.
