The Vermillion Group - a leader in the healthcare recruiting industry - has been asked by one of our best clients to find them an outstanding Healthcare Management Consultant.  The firm is a project management and consulting services firm focused on maximizing the value of change for hospitals and healthcare organizations. The Firm coordinates Healthcare Information Technology projects and operational improvement projects that require a deliberate focus and dedication to process and workflow improvement, clinician adoption of change, and good project management. The Firm is based just outside Philadelphia, and services healthcare organizations in the Northeast.Our Client is seeking top quality, “A-Players” for full time positions as Management Consultants. As a Management Consultant, you will be implementing high priority projects that increase clinical and operational value for hospitals and healthcare organizations. We are seeking an experienced Management Consultant who will successfully contribute to a collaborative team that plans, coordinates, and manages the successful implementation of high complexity projects for acute and ambulatory health providers.The Firm's approach to implementation is to serve as a change agent and enabler, not the subject matter expert. We do this by facilitating and enabling the talent, expertise, and experience of the client team from the healthcare provider and their selected product or solution vendors. Management Consultants contribute project management, process improvement, and change leadership skills, including strong team leadership, written and verbal communication, and inter-personal skills, to drive these critical projects through execution and into successful operation.Candidates must have prior experience as a healthcare consultant, either in hospital operations or clinical settings. A working familiarity with clinical systems and products associated with patient safety and care delivery, such as, EMR, CPOE, Clinical Documentation, eMAR, bar-coding, PACS, IV Smart Pumps, and Lab systems is a plus. A successful candidate will have either direct project management experience, Six Sigma training, or a strong aptitude for Project Management. Clients are regional and travel is limited. Major Responsibilities • Contribute to the Firm's team in order to deliver a highly successful projects that maximize benefit realization for our customers • On-site implementation services in hospitals, including managing project activities, improving and adjusting work processes, and influencing organizational change. • Interfaces with hospital clients, including department heads, clinicians, vendors, and all internal customers. • Coordinates a diverse set of stakeholders and resources required to deliver complex projects. Work closely with and facilitate client team activities. • Develop project plans and controls for a wide variety of projects. Execute and manage these plans. • Facilitate process improvements for customers, including the evaluation of current process and opportunities for performance improvement. • Apply organizational change management tools to help gain buy-in and adoption of large, complex change • Communicate engagement progress and results to client management at all levels, both formally and informally Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in a process, technology, or healthcare oriented field, plus a minimum of five years relevant work experience. Master’s degree preferred. • Experience and interest in the discipline of Project Management or Process Improvement. Training and qualifications preferred. (Six Sigma, CPME) • Healthcare consulting experience • Working knowledge of the healthcare organization, particularly clinical workflow processes and procedures • Strong analytical and planning skills. Experience in defining and resolving problems with responsibility for planning and implementing solutions. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must in order to interact with and influence action by client teams • Leadership experience in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to operate in dynamic or ambiguous situations with minimal supervision and achieve superior results. • Experience delivering projects in ambulatory or inpatient healthcare environments or clinical healthcare experience is a plus. • An endless drive for professional learning and growth • Confident and entrepreneurial, with a good head for business MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
