Healthcare Data Consultant

Location: Jacksonville, FL 32246 Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Job duties include but are not limited to the following: * Perform medical cost trend analysis from various business function perspectives (ex. clinical, network, product, pricing, underwriting and finance) *Perform variance analysis to proactively identify and investigate complex suspect areas regarding medical cost issues * Perform targeted in-depth analysis of Delivery System process and programs to support care, network and quality program design and processes * Apply investigative and critical thinking and analytical skills to look behind the numbers, assess business impacts, and make action oriented recommendations * Analyze and forecast trends in medical costs in support of care management, network management, product management, pricing, underwriting and finance functions * Support the design and development of methods, tools, models and frameworks of analysis and research techniques * Communicate analysis to key stakeholders inside and outside of Delivery System. Job Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience * 3 or more years experience in the health care industry * Experience in managing the design, development, and continuous improvement of complex healthcare data systems, tools and reports * Knowledge of health care and delivery system oriented business processes * Knowledge of financial principles and BCBSF products and operational practices * Analytical and project management skills * Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and concepts * Data and statistical analysis experience – interpretation and presentation of results * Knowledge of systems and computer programming Business Specific Criteria (Preferred Skills): * Advanced degree in Business, Health Administration/ Public Health, or Computer Science Please Click Here to ApplyIf you are interested in applying to this position, please click on the "Apply Now" link and follow these important steps: 1.  Log-in if you have an existing profile on the BCBSF website.
