Healthcare Informatics Researcher

Description

Provides research requirements by consulting with internal and external customers.

Determine research requirements by consulting with internal and external customers. Investigate research questions and hypotheses using large-scale public, private and SCAN archival data sets. Create and administer date collection tools as needed (e.g., sample survey, key informant survey, needs assessments). Meet end-user needs, project objectives by identifying available resources and developing applied research and healthcare evaluation designs. Satisfy customer research questions and test hypotheses by selecting and applying statistical methods and data analysis techniques. Verify the appropriateness of statistical models and modifies analysis when appropriate. Present findings to customers by interpreting results of data analysis and communicating clearly to customers who are not experts in research and statistics. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

Education:
MS or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Pharmacoeconomics or other related field

SAS skills; MS Access and SQL programming experience required
