Hematology/Oncology Clinical Director

Currently available is an outstanding opportunity with one of the top ranked children's hospitals in the country for a dynamic nursing leader to oversee the daily operations of their 24 bed Hematology/Oncology unit.  This facility is recognized both nationally and internationally for their research and clinical trials in Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant.  This particular unit runs an average daily census of 22 and manages Sickle Cell, ITP and Solid Tumor patients.  There is a staff of 79 FTE's with two Clinical Managers and a direct report to a AVP of Nursing.  This facility has begun their Magnet Journey.  One of the top priorities for the new Clinical Director is to assist in setting this unit on that path.  the unit has a very talented and passionate staff, they're enthusiastic about providing cutting edge and quality patient care.  They are hungry for a leader to empower them as the organization moves towards attaining their goal of becoming a Magnet facility. Qualifications for this position would include an RN, BSN required with Masters preferred, a minimum of 3-5 years progressive leadership experience as well as a clinical background in Oncology (pediatric preferred).  This person must be passionate about Nursing, must be able to lead and empower a team, have excellent communication skills and be a relationship based leader who supports a Magnet philosophy.
