Histotechnologist
Reliance Pathology Partners, LLC is a physician owned Anatomical Pathology Laboratory located in Tampa, FL. Our clients include ambulatory surgery centers, physician’s offices and hospitals.
We are currently seeking a HISTOTECHNOLOGIST.
Accurately and efficiently prepares tissue samples through grossing, embedding, and microtomy. Performs both special and immunostaining procedures. Performs thin-prep, cytoprep, and staining procedures on cytology specimens. Properly orients specimens while embedding and grossing. Cuts, mounts, and labels specimens, eliminating technical and transcription errors which could hinder diagnoses. Examines slides microscopically as needed to ascertain whether tissue elements and staining preparations are satisfactory. Serves as a resource person to histotechnicians and laboratory aides and supervises those personnel in the absence of the technical supervisor.
ASCP certification or eligibility required.
