Home Health Aide Per diem (HRN)

Provides hands-on personal care and maintains a hygienic, uncluttered environment which enables Home Health and Hospice clients to live safely in their homes.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION: 150 hours in Department of Education & Cultural Services approved program. A person who has successfully completed a State-established or other training program the meets the requirements of 42 CFR 484._ and/or a competency evaluation program or State licensure program that meets the requirements of 484._, or has completed a nurse aide training and/or competency evaluation program approved by the State as meeting the requirements of 42 CFR 483.154 of this part and is currently listed in good standing on the State nurse aide registry.

EXPERIENCE: One year experience in hospital or nursing home preferred. Displays tact and good judgment in dealing with patients and families. Displays neat appearance and practices good personal hygiene. CONTACTS: Has major contact with clients to provide personal care services in the home. Appreciable contact with families and other members of the health care team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May work in difficult or strained positions. Requiring lifting, bending, and/or squatting. Must pass physical examination.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Travel required with visits made in varying home settings. Rotating weekend, evenings and holiday work may be required. Reliable auto, documentation of auto liability insurance, and documentation of valid driver's license required.
