Hospital Biller

Do you know hospital billing?  Can you work Medi-Cal and CalOptima in your sleep? If you can combine your hospital billing knowledge with customer service and attention to detail you need to apply to this job!The Patient Account Representative is responsible for the processing, tracking and follow up on outstanding balances from accounts receivable for Medi-Cal & CalOptima hospital accounts, requests for retroactive authorizations from CalOptima when needed, review explanation of benefits (EOB) for Medi-Cal & CalOptima accounts. Works error reports. Documents billing/account activity in the System for each account to determine the status of an account at any point in the billing process and follows through on reimbursement.  Initiates Phone calls and tracers to insurance carriers, PCP offices, Medical Groups to request all needed pertinent billing information for unpaid claims.  Responds to denial or payment or low reimbursement from the carriers.Must have Hospital Medi-Cal AND CalOptima Billing experience.
