Location: Boston, MA 02118 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Marketing/Product Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Career Level:Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Web Marketing Specialist is responsible for independently managing the BMC website and other supporting marketing programs. The Web Marketing Specialist must work closely and collaboratively with senior level staff and physicians throughout the organization to meet their needs as clients, while providing expertise to ensure that all marketing activities are consistent with and enhance the image of BMC. SUPERVISION RECEIVED:Vice President of Development & Marketing SUPERVISION EXERCISED:None ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement BMC’s overall and departmental web marketing strategies that meets the needs/preferences of users and advances the marketing objectives of BMC. Manage website content including accuracy/timeliness, copy editing, technical troubleshooting and consistency with corporate branding. Manage web help desk. Manage project budgets for cost effective results. Manage project staff as assigned, ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently. Develop qualitative and quantitative systems to track results of web marketing activities in timely and accurate manner. Stay abreast of changes in the online marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjust plans accordingly. Manage relationships with outside vendors of web-based services including website design agency and web developer partner. Collaborate with internal IT department on website requirements and management. Learn and use content management tool to assist in basic content updates and help clinical departments troubleshoot their own updates. Work with individual departments, practices and physicians throughout the medical center to support their web marketing needs. Manage Search Engine Marketing (SEM) initiatives, including: keyword research and campaign management for Pay-Per-Click (PPC) and organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and strategically collaborate with SEM vendors to further improve rankings. Support overall marketing program, especially as it relates to e-marketing opportunities, including e-marketing communications, advertising, newsletters, brochures/collateral materials, direct mail, website and other vehicles, as needed. Conforms to hospital standards of performance and conduct, including those pertaining to patient rights, so that the best possible customer service and patient care may be provided. Utilizes hospital’s Values as the basis for decision making and to facilitate the division’s hospital mission. Follows established hospital infection control and safety procedures. OTHER DUTIES:Perform other duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS AND ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field.· Five or more years of online marketing and communications experience.· Solid understanding and experience in website development and e-marketing trends.· Exceptional project management skills including attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a problem solver.· Ability to work with numerous internal clients and handle a multitude of tasks.· Strong oral and written communications skills.· Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.· A team player with sound judgment, positive and professional demeanor, strong organizational skills and the highest standards of professional ethics.
