Hygienist should be knowledgeable and experienced in the following areas:-Irrigation usage-Arestin diagnosing and placement-2 quads of SRP's in 1 hour (unless complicated case)-Anesthetize-Able to pocket chart alone-Able to work alone-Familiar with Rotadent (not a must) EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:' Associate, Bachelor or Master degree in dental hygiene from an accredited college or technical school, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:' Registered Dental Hygienist license in California.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:' Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as business periodicals, professionals journals, technical procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and governmental regulations. Ability to communicate effectively and present information, both verbally and in writing, to patients and co-workers. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.' Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.' Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.' Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, decimals and percentages. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.' Ability to apply logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
