I.T. Business Analyst-Intermediate

Medica is a dynamic, growing health plan provider based in Minnetonka, Minnesota serving more than 10,000 employers and over one million members throughout the Upper Midwest The I.T. Business Analyst works with other business owners and end users throughout the organization to understand and document customer requirements and assist with implementation. They participate in the development of business cases for moving forward with IT projects including feasibility studies, process redesign opportunities, emerging technologies research, and financial analysis. The Business Analyst will fulfill different roles on IT projects based on the size and complexity of the project. Their subject matter expertise may be required for projects that span functional areas and for resolving complex issues affecting customers.
Bachelor's degree in business, health care administration, information systems or equivalent work experience. 3+ years experience in information systems with a preferred focus on health care. 3+ years of experience in the utilization of business analyst tools, techniques, methodologies and resources. Business analysis skills to interview users, improve business processes, prioritize requirements, manage scope, focus on the business case, document business requirements, and provide supporting visual documentation. Data analysis skills to strengthen requirements, improve processes, and provide solutions that can be integrated into the environment. Technical skills to assist with system analysis while considering the business implications of the application of
technology to the current business environment. Communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills to effectively gather requirements, document project deliverables, and influence behavior of business partners. Ability to acquire subject matter expertise of core business processes and the systems that support them. Ability to cope with changing environment, multiple projects and competing deadline.Benefits:
