IM&T Director

Manage IT department, which includes technical management, operational management, and people management of the IM&T department.  The IT Manager is responsible for using technical skills and managerial skills to become a business partner within the organization thus maximizing team performance within the IM&T but also within the company.  Manage budget and investment of the local applications, technology, and infrastructure. Manages the relationship with Corporate IT (Italy). Contributes to the overall global IT strategy Ensures effective & timely implementation of IT services throughout the company and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction. Ensures effective IT service and Help Desk support to US headquarters and branch office locations; managing IT technology infrastructure in accordance with corporate standard and group strategy guidelines and managing security in accordance with corporate security policy guidelines and local security policy regulations.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   Technical Hands on management of troubleshooting and diagnostic.  Ability to lead and solve complex technical problems.  Responsible for understanding and communicating the impact of change requests on the local IT operations including: request definition, analysis of impact, training to end users, tests of enhancement implementations, and deployment execution. Provide value to the senior managers of the company by understanding the business needs and addressing the solutions.  Must fully understand the application environment. Operations Manage capital and operational budgets. Analyze system capacity and recommend equipment purchases.  Develop specification and RFP’s for hardware, software, and networking systems on an as needed basis. Manage implementation of connectivity between HQ and fields. Thus, working with the provider of telecommunication analyzing cost, leading project implementation and monitoring, in cooperation with the Corporate IT department the quality of service provided.   Monitor the quality of services provided by Corporate IT and local supplier(s) by defining and implementing Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Participate in setting overall IT direction.  Implement and enforce all IT policies, procedures and controls in the environment of a publicly traded Corporation Consult with management and staff to determine information requirements and the boundaries and priorities of new projects. Plan, schedule and monitor all IT related projects.  Analyze and document business/clinical application processes and functions.  Analyze and install system to meet business/clinical needs. People Management Must be a leader capable of motivating a team with different levels of seniority and skills.  Create a high performance team through training, team building, career progression, and enhanced technical opportunities. Instill a service-oriented mentality with the management and staff of the operating units Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervises IMT staff to include recruitment and selection, training, setting performance standards, evaluating performance to include regular appraisals and corrective action up to and including termination of employment.  Manages projects requiring communicating, motivating and training staff system wide. Education and Experience Requirements:·  Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience·  A minimum of 5 years experience in managing IM&T department·  Experience in implementing ERP (Oracle Enterprise 1, former JDE preferred)·  Experience in a multi-site environment part of a larger multinational group·  Windows NT, Microcomputer PC, LAN and Lotus notes experience required·  Experience in a medical environment is a plus  Required Skills: ·  Excellent leadership and project management skills required·  Thorough understanding of current developments and trends in data processing and information technology. Demonstrated knowledge of Networking contract management and general IT architecture.·  Demonstrated ability to do systemic, thorough problem solving and the ability to initiate client problem resolution.·  Ability to establish, conceive and describe systems, design flowcharts, time schedules and network requirements.·  Excellent oral and written communication skills.·  An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. · A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.· A well-organized and self-directed individual.· A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor. · A decisive individual who possesses a "big picture" perspective and is well versed in systems.· Is flexible and open to working in a multicultural environment.  Physical Demands: ·  Must be able to maintain a high level of concentration to complete complex and detailed analysis.  · Must be willing to travel on an as needed basis.  Company: Amplifon USA Location: Plymouth, MN Status: Full Time, Employee Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Education Level: Doctorate Learn more about us
