Focused on providing a world-class mix of cost, quality, and service delivery, this area is committed to building a top-tier network team and driving continuous improvement in the standards for performance. This area is also responsible for supporting IT across the enterprise for development frameworks, standard operating environments, quality improvements, and application operations. Primary Responsibilities: Designs, implements and maintains all functions of SQL Server databases, including access, methods and time, device allocations, validation checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical methodology. Monitors overall standards and procedures, assists in integrating various systems. Consults with users, determine requirements and recommends database establishment and utilization. Develops innovative approaches. Ability to think outside the box. Serves as a leader/ mentor.Qualifications: 3 - 5+ years experience working with SQL Server, 2000, and 2005 (strong preference in a production support role). Experience monitoring and tuning SQL Server. The ability to optimize t-sql code and stored procedures. Knowledge and understanding of the Windows Server platform. Experience with High Availability (HA) clustering is preferred. Ability to provide on-call support and answer severity calls, problem resolution. Four-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. Effective verbal communication skills and documentation skills in both business and technical areas. Strong organizational skills to handle changing priorities, tight schedules, and correction of critical systems outside of normal working hours.
