IT Solution Architect

The Institute for Transfusion Medicine (ITxM) is currently recruiting for an IT professional that will be responsible for the management and direction of IT projects that focus on the strategic long-term and short-term technology priorities for the organization. The IT Solution Architect will be responsible for working with ITxM IT and business unit leaders in developing and implementing the IT strategy to support the corporate business unit objectives; managing multiple complex IT projects and ensuring the projects are delivered in scope, on time and within budget. The candidate will consult with the ITxM business units in planning and defining their IT projects; IS resource planning and development for the IT department to meet the needs of project portfolio. The candidate will play an important role in defining and implementing project management tools and methodologies across the enterprise and leading the formation and ongoing management of the ITxM Project Support Office (PSO). Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Sciences, Business Administration or other related field is required. Master's Degree preferred. Project Management techniques/certifications required (PMP, CMM, Six Sigma, SEI, etc.) 5-10 years of IT or business/healthcare work experience is required. 3-5 years of experience managing technology-related projects over the full development life cycle and service as a proactive advisor to executives. Must have knowledge of systems and procedures analysis, advanced computer software technology, conversions, implementations, and data processing concepts. Candidate must have creativity and innovation and the ability to translate business objectives into IT solutions. Process orientation with strong technical, financial, analytical and creative problem solving skills. Team player that collaborates with, motivates, and educates other team members. Strong business acumen, leadership skills, and excellent communication skills are requirements for this position.
