IV TECHNICIAN/CERTIFIED

GENERAL SUMMARY: The IV Pharmacy Technician Certified works within the scope of Pharmacy Practice Law under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. He/she provides exceptional healthcare experiences by accurately following the standard operating procedures (SOP) for all aspects of medication delivery, storage, IV preparation and utilization of all pharmacy automation systems. Within their scope of licensure, he/she communicates with integrity and courtesy through phone or in person with all disciplines reporting patient needs. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Preferred: Required: Ability tocalculate, use syringes, computers, apply the concept of aseptic technique and laminar flow hood theory, work well with others in a confined space.
